UCLA presents Henry Purcell's 'Dido and Æneas'

WHAT:
The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, in collaboration with the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, presents Henry Purcell's late 17th-century English Baroque opera "Dido and Æneas," directed by M.F.A. candidate James Darrah and conducted by Peter Rutenberg. The story follows the doomed romance between the Trojan warrior Æneas and Dido, the queen of Carthage.

8 p.m., April 17, 18, 22, 24 and 25
 
WHERE:
UCLA's Little Theater in Macgowan Hall, in the northeast section of the UCLA campus
(nearest campus entrance at Sunset Boulevard and Hilgard Avenue)

COST:
Admission is $17 for the general public; $15 for senior citizens and UCLA faculty, staff and alumni; $10 per person for groups of 10 or more; and $7 for students.
 
Parking costs $9 and can be purchased at the entrance to Lot 3 or at the parking kiosk on Wyton Drive, just off Hilgard Avenue. A limited number of pay-box parking spaces are also available in Lot 3.
