Statement from UCLA Chancellor Gene Block on death of student
To the Campus Community:
I have the sorrowful task of informing you of the tragic death of a member of our Bruin family. Krishna Rajaram, a junior majoring in business economics, was killed, along with members of his family, in their Porter Ranch home. Krishna lived in De Neve Hall and was an active member of Delta Phi Beta, a South Asian co-ed fraternity.
We mourn the loss of this bright young life that had so much promise and was cut tragically short. In this time of grief, student affairs personnel are working together to provide information to his residential community and to make special arrangements for counselors to be available in the residence halls.
More information on grief counseling is available from UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (www.counseling.ucla.edu).
Sincerely,
Gene D. Block
Chancellor
