Today’s Korea Herald features an interview with Robert Buswell, UCLA professor of Asian languages and cultures and director of the UCLA Center for Buddhist Studies, about the current state of Korean studies programs at North American universities.
 
Archive Screens Restored Film on Native Americans
Today’s Los Angeles Times features a review of “The Exiles,” a 1961 film about a group of Native Americans living in Los Angeles’ Bunker Hill neighborhood, which was recently restored by UCLA Film & Television Archive preservationist Ross Lipman. The film is currently being shown at UCLA’s Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum.
