UCLA Grad Helps Advance Afghan Education
The Los Angeles Times reported July 4 on the efforts of UCLA alumna Parisa Popalzai to provide educational opportunities for college students and special-needs children in Afghanistan. Women’s HIV Gel May Work Better for Men
Medical News Today reports today on research by Sally Blower, professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA and a member of the UCLA AIDS Institute, that found that vaginal microbicides may be of more benefit to men than women in preventing HIV infection.
