Cancer Patients Want the News, Good or Bad
KABC-Channel 7 reported Wednesday on a UCLA study by researchers at the Jules Stein Eye Institute that found that an overwhelming majority of eye cancer patients said they would want a genetic test to predict the risk of their tumor spreading aggressively — even if no treatments existed to help. Dr. Tara McCannel, director of the Ophthalmic Oncology Center at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and the study's co-principal investigator, was featured.
