Same-Sex Couples in Arizona
Arizona’s Tucson Citizen reported Thursday on demographic research on Arizona’s same-sex couples conducted by the UCLA School of Law’s Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy. The research is part of the institute’s state-by-state study of the nation’s gay population.

Dr. Gregg Fonarow
Fonarow, UCLA's Eliot Corday Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Science and director of the Ahmanson–UCLA Cardiomyopathy Center, was quoted today in a HealthDay News article about a new vaccine that may someday replace traditional blood pressure medications. Fonarow was quoted Thursday in a HealthDay News article about a drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis that may also reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Peterson, professor of public policy and political science, was quoted Thursday in an Arizona Republic story about Sen. John McCain securing the Republican nomination for president.
David Shulman
Shulman, a senior economist with the UCLA Anderson Forecast, was quoted today in a Washington Post article about the rising number of mortgage foreclosures.
