Biography
Kent Wong, director of the UCLA Center for Labor Research and Education, is an expert on issues related tolabor unions, labor relations and immigrant workers. A labor attorney, he has conducted extensive research on immigrant workers in Los Angeles. One of his books features interviews with Asian American union organizers. The center, part of the UCLA Institute for Research on Labor and Employment, serves as a bridge between the university and Southern California and has an office in downtown Los Angeles amidmultiple union halls and worker centers in the heart of a diverse immigrant community.
