Biography
Richard Rawson, professor-in-residence in the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, is a leading expert on substance-abuse treatment, especially methamphetamine abuse.
 
He is associate director of the Integrated Substance Abuse Programs at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.
 
Rawson has led addiction research and training projects for the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the U.S. State Department.
