Biography
Chris Tilly, professor of urban planning in the UCLA School of Public Affairs, is an expert on labor markets and the relationship between public policies and the creation of jobs. He directs the UCLA Institute for Research on Labor and Employment and comments frequently on issues related to inequities in the availability and quality of jobs. The institute supports faculty and graduate student research on employment and labor topics in a variety of academic disciplines.
