About 700 faculty, students and staff marched across campus April 22, 2009 in support of biomedical researchers targeted for harassment and violence by extremists opposed to the use of lab animals. Speakers included the organizer of UCLA Pro-Test and Scott Waugh, executive vice chancellor and provost.
