Tap-dancing legend Lynn Dally first made history as co-founder of the Jazz Tap Ensemble, the first dance company to bring rhythm tap dance to the concert stage with live jazz music. Now, Dally - artistic director of the ensemble and an adjunct professor in the UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures - is gathering 21 women who are making a difference in the world of tap dance for a three-day conference called Women in Tap, to be held Feb. 8-10 at UCLA's Glorya Kaufman Hall.

UCLA's Asian American Studies Center will present the U.S. premiere of the documentary film "Anna May Wong — Frosted Yellow Willows: Her Life, Times, and Legend" on Jan. 19.
