Tim Groeling

Tim Groeling is an assistant professor of communication studies. He is an expert on political communications and new media. He has conducted research on partisan bias on network news shows, media coverage of the “rally-round-the-flag” phenomenon and foreign policy, and the newsworthiness of online political news. Groeling is also the recipient of UCLA’s Brian P. Copenhaver Award for Innovation in Teaching with Techology and an Apple Distinguished Educator, which recognizes educational technology leadership. He is currently working on two books, “War Stories: The Causes and Consequences of Public Views of War” (with Matthew Baum) and “When Politicians Attack: Party Discipline and the Media.”
