Stephen Yenser, professor of English and director of UCLA's undergraduate creative writing program, is available to speak about Kay Ryan, an alumna of UCLA's English department who has been named U.S. poet laureate. Yenser is director of the Hammer Museum Poetry Series, which featured Ryan in 2006; the series is considered to be one of the premier forums for poetry in the western United States. In addition to being a poet himself, Yenser is also a highly regarded poetry critic.
