UCLA faculty experts advisory: Screen Actors Guild talks end with no deal

Contract negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild and Hollywood studios broke down Tuesday when the parties were unable to come to an agreement on DVD and Internet pay rates. The studios now begin talks with the smaller American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, a move some SAG officials fear may undercut their union's bargaining power. Several UCLA faculty members have expertise on issues raised during negotiations.
