The Hollywood Reporter and United Press International reported Friday on an upcoming television movie that will highlight the work of Dr. Dennis Slamon, professor of hematology and oncology and director of clinical and translational research at UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center. Slamon’s clinical research led to the development of the breast cancer drug Herceptin.
History of Cinco de Mayo
A study by the UCLA Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture on the origins and cultural significance of Cinco de Mayo was cited Saturday by the Stockton Record and Friday by the Spanish-language newspaper Hoy.
