Bruin Statue Hit by Vandals
The Los Angeles Times, the Associated Press, the Contra Costa Times, KTLA-Channel 5 and KTTV- Channel 11 report today that UCLA's iconic statue "The Bruin" has been defaced by vandals who splashed red and gold paint on the sculpture, just days before the annual UCLA–USC football game.
 
Holiday Health Hazards Mean Busy ERs
A Tuesday Los Angeles Times blog article about emergency room visits resulting from overeating and improperly prepared food on Thanksgiving highlighted the ER experiences of Dr. Mark Morocco, assistant professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and associate residency director of emergency medicine at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Morocco was quoted.
 
Big Game Bonfire and Rally
KTTV-Channel 11 reported Monday on UCLA’s traditional pep rally and bonfire before the annual UCLA–USC football game.
